No Mattress Firm 'round where I live. Any other reputable chains to recommend?

I think I got mine at mattress warehouse.

WAit until there's a non-matched set sale. I got a really good deal on one and you should be putting covers on both to make them last longer so it doesn't matter.

All the dust and dust mites make the foam in the topper degrade quicker. I saved several hundred and spent maybe $50 on covers that I'd want anyway so you can't even tell they aren't the same pattern fabric.

dont use chains.........find something local. i work at a mattress store, the mattress business is different in many ways, your local stores start out with lower prices and arent gonna bullshit you like a mat warehouse will.

people think just because its a chain that youre gonna save money which is completely false

I bought from Mattress Firm. You can haggle with them. I got a mattress that was originally $2299, on sale for $1299, for $500 out the door with delivery and frame. I'm sure they still made money off me but you have to be a retard to pay the price they have marked with a Sharpie on the display's price tag. It's like buying a car, you're probably better off buying close to the end of the month at the end of the day.

I'd rather it be more comfortable by not putting a damn cover on it than lasting a little bit longer... just my opinion though.

If you get a good cover it doesn't change the comfort at all. The vinyl ones are crap, but the more expensive ones you can't even tell if you put it under the mattress pad!

Guess I've never seen a good one then. I'll keep that in mind next time I get a new mattress and look for a good cover.

who gives a fuck about the employees? it's the mattress i'd be concerned with.

i bought mine at original mattress factory and i <3 it mucho. i had no problems with the guy that helped me. he wasn't bothersome or annoying or trying to push me into anything i didn't need. i went to the one on glenwood fyi.

Yeah, I got a "slightly irregular" (one corner was square instead of round) beautyrest mattress pad at ross for $24 so that helps too. It's the greatest.

The cover, it's the best one walmart sells, but I'm sure target has one of equal or better quality. Get one that goes completely around and zips, not the elasticized overpriced crap at the mattress store.

I had one on top of a cheap twin mattress before and could hear it sometimes, but with the thick mattress pad on top it's never been an issue.
