The official drop-off period ended yesterday, but it looks like you're in luck:

http://www.wakegov.com/recycling/trashtakers/default.htm

Select "Yard Waste" from the pull-down menu.

just put it out on the side of the road with your trash, the garbage people will probably take it

if not, find a wooded area and drop it off there

Xmas was 3 weeks ago. That fucking thing should be gone the day after Xmas, new year's day at the latest.

You die and you go to hell! The tree smells best as it starts to dry up and die after Christmas.

The first reply had an answer!

If you break the tree down into branches at this point, and you live in a neighborhood that has weekly yard waste pickup (check the wake county website, it has all the answers, and there's a number you can call), just dump it at the curb after chopping it up.

Otherwise, just break it down and slowly throw it away in the trash with everything else. <_<

If you have the time, take it over to CPT, Carnivore Preservation Trust in Pittsboro. The tigers LOVE to play with Christmas trees!!

Every year we put ours at the curb and it disappears by within a day. I think someone drives around our area stealing old trees to make bonfires with...

give it to my old next door neighbors so they can have one of their satanic rituals with it. They have bon fires and chants and it can get pretty spooky some times.

When those things dry up and you toss them in an already burning fire they basically explode like an atomic weapon or something its ridiculous.

One year I just stuffed it in my trunk, tied the lid down with string, and drove it out to the yard waste collection center, since I figured that would be just as fast as cutting it down and bundling it up.

If you choose to do this, be very careful. Even though I wrapped it up in a tarp first, I was still vacuuming christmas tree debris out of my trunk for the next year or so.

take it outside and burn it

the thing burns so fast that the only thing left after 10 is part of the trunk.
