if not lease has been signed then it is considered month-to-month, that is why you always have 30 days to get out if someone kicks you out in nc

1) her parents are raging dickweeds. She's not entirely blameless, but they have long had a tendency to overreact
2) Mr Grace - this is TN, not NC. ^, too
3) suxb2u, kern. sorry.

cant you take the money you were giving your bf for staying at his place and put that toward an apt?

i dont get why yan is all the sudden flipping out to the point where he is kicking you out like this without at least letting you get a place to stay first...? i guess he doesnt care about coming off as a douche on tww or something...i'm guessing you wore the pants in the relationship and he got tired of it

Some men, especially those who graduated from engineering and have gfs still in school, let their girls live with them in exchange for things other than money.

it would take three months for me to get the money i need to move out because my bills are huge

hes letting me save the money but he keeps asking when i will leave, i dont want to stay where im not wanted. he's kicking me out the only way he knows how to.

I could forfeit my job and big bonus by moving in with my friend and finding a job there until we can move but that will delay our big move by a lot and id get a low paying job

you cant afford an apt for 3 months?

try some shabby places, should find one for cheap or look for people in need of roommates in cheap places

if you dont want to live in a cheap place cause its beneath you to do so, then this really isnt a real problem

serious ideas:

credit cards. then pay them off asap. long term debt = bad. short term debt is always ok.

do you have a 401k? you can use part of them depending on how you have it setup.

Scrounge up a few hundred bucks via saving, selling, or credit cards. Post ads offering to clean houses or rake yards in any spare time you might have to make extra money.

Find someone on Craigslist who doesn't mind letting you in for $400/month all inclusive and will let you pay $200 on the 1st and 15th of the month instead of paying it all up front. Live off the cheapest foods possible and water for a month while working as much as possible.

Accept the fact that the next 4-6 weeks are going to suck and do your best with it.

ah
i see now. this is a sticky situation. sorry you do not have a nest egg. my cousinn did the same thing, except there was not break up, you just thought she could move and take a decent job and make it, but fucked herself over. i moved to raleigh and did not know anybody, went to state, graduated, got a job and got my own shit. anyway, hate to sound like a dick but i hope that you learned your lessons. what would i do in this situation? hmmm.... probably would just go to a rental place and just tell them everything and take pay stubs with you, and hope that they will work with you.

NEVER tap into your 401k that's the worst idea i've ever heard. if you're trying to get a small loan from a bank, that might not work.

credit cards are probably your best bet, but like you said you're already trying to pay off debt. if it's student loan debt your paying, more than likely you can get them deferred for about 6 months... my roommate had to do that so she could get her shit together.

[Edited on January 16, 2008 at 8:03 PM. Reason : ok, apparently you can't get credit cards... ]

if you cant get a credit card, you likely wouldnt be able to get a loan

though i have very limited knowledge in this field, so take it with a grain of salt

the only way you'd get a loan is if someone would co-sign for you... but if your credit is so bad you can't even get a credit card, i doubt anyone would want to co-sign for you.

i don't know what the situation is with your debt repayment, and when you gotta move out and everything... but the only thing i can suggest is, call your debtors and find out if there's anyway you can defer payment of your bills for a few months until you get your act together, start only paying the minimum balance, and save as much of the rest of your pay check as possible... if you've been living rent free you should have had some sort of savings started.. but i'm assuming you don't.

other than that, i don't know what you tell you

seriously kiwi...i dont get why you are trying to act all prideful over this "dont want to live where i'm not wanted"

i'd say this is a situation you dont want to be arrogant/ignorant in...if he is letting you stay, even if he wants you out, then fucking stay

its seriously that easy

^yes, but she needs to make a plan because she will eventually have to get out, and it just isn't healthy to stay there, in my opinion. i know i couldn't do it.
