Verizon is mediocre. I get service most of the time, and it's not too expensive. 1/17/2008 6:34:29 PM |

add to that the z6m costing only $80 AR with 2-year agreement, and i think it's a pretty good deal...i love the phone (and it still uses the standard USB cable, so you can charge it using your computer without buying a separate cord) 1/17/2008 6:38:27 PM |

I have cingular and don't like it.
I'm switching to Alltell next month, like 85% of my friends have it and they're very satisfied with it. 1/17/2008 6:39:36 PM |

gf and i share the $80/month plan:
- 1000 anytime minutes - 1000 text/picture/video messages (per phone) - choose nights starting at 7pm instead of the text messaging - my circle (10 numbers - other cell carriers or landlines - that are free to call) - alltel users are free to call - nationwide coverage
considering friends and family mostly have alltel, and the other 10 we call most are on our my circle, the two of us talk 4-5000 minutes/month total and only use about 200 minutes from our plan...not bad for $40/each/month 1/17/2008 6:42:59 PM |

try sprint out. 500 anytime mins unlimited text unlimited data unlimited night and weekend starts at 7 pm all of that for $30/month
and if you don't like it in 30 days, you can cancel the plan free of charge. 1/18/2008 12:58:24 AM |

I used to have Alltel back in the day...from about 2002-feb 2006. I could never get a signal at my house and was not very satisfied with it. Switched to Verizon and I love them. I guess it depends on where you go home to. I hear alltel is good in the Mountains, but i could never get a good signal @ my old apt back near the RBC Center or at my parent's house in N. Raleigh. 1/18/2008 1:02:57 AM |

I can't believe people actually like Alltel but maybe it is where I live, they have the worst service of any. I have Verizon and I have no complaints at all. 1/18/2008 2:56:48 AM |

Verizon Wireless US Cellular
also, Verizon's customer support is pretty good. If you know how to talk to them, they'll pretty much bend over backwards to help you out. it's all about retention and satisfaction. 1/18/2008 10:58:54 AM |

I've had US Cellualr and Verizon. My reception was like 100X better with US Cellular and I had a way better plan. But I love my Chocalate phone and only verizon has those. 1/18/2008 11:04:40 AM |

alltel is the best for NC, but if you travel around the country, then your coverage is really bad. Also Alltel is a NC based company, so they have the state covered pretty well.
