its really easy.
you can go to home depot or lowes and prbly walmart and buy a patching kit.
you can really do it in about 15 minutes depending on the size of the hole. then wait 24 hours and sand it down....reapply putty if you need it and then resand 1/18/2008 9:12:27 AM |

First you have to find it behind the two-way mirror in your guest bathroom.

I have a few holes too. I watched that video, it looks pretty simple, but compared to some of my friends who talked about how easy it is to repair drywell, definitely looks more involved than I anticipated.
Like I didn't realize you have to have spare drywall and plywood and cut the broken patch out. I thought somehow you could just repair what was already damaged without all that. 1/18/2008 1:03:09 PM |

you don't need to cut plywood and shit unless the holes are very large. what the fuck have you been doing? 1/18/2008 1:04:37 PM |

I know of 4 holes in the drywall in my house
one is from my foot by accident, it's small but part of the hole is touching where the electrical socket is, so that makes it an added obstacle.
2nd hole is from my roommates bathroom door, the stopcatch broke i guess so it must have swung into the wall somehow and now there's a hole from where the door knob hit it. It's not bigger than the hole in the video, though.
3rd and 4th hole are from when my new roommate had a party and his friend got wasted and took his samurai sword (i need to start screening my roommates AND their friends) and then decided to stab the wall. Hole on the inside + exit hole on other side in the living room.
It supposedly should cost <$25 to fix all 4 holes, but I'm guessing if i just leave them to my landlord, he'll charge a whopping $50 per hole, at the minimum, probably. 1/18/2008 1:37:54 PM |

yeah you don't need to get all crazy with sawing shit. just get a patch kit.
there is a very thin metallic grate that sticks to the wall covering the hole. you then cover that shit with spackle as smooth as possible. then you sand it down the next day and paint it. 1/18/2008 1:42:16 PM |

You can just cram in some drywall putty, wood putty, or even toothpaste for the sword holes. After it dries sand it lightly and slap a little paint on it and nobody will ever know the difference.
1. Fix holes. 2. Charge drunk sword guy $60. 3. Profit. 1/18/2008 1:49:46 PM |

1. Steal Underpants 2. 3. Profit.

yeah, using the metal grate is what somebody else said. Sounds way easier. 1/18/2008 2:08:21 PM |

small holes (like from thumbtacks and shit) can be filled on the super cheap with cheap white toothpaste
the drywall patch kits are really easy to use... make sure your paint matches the wall though or you're going to have to repaint the whole thing 1/19/2008 10:09:11 AM |
