i just saw a preview for this a couple days ago, and its looks pretty sweet. here's the link to the trailer

http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/10000bc/trailer1/

Quote :
"As a member of a primitive tribe during the dawn of man, 21-year-old mammoth hunter D'Leh (Steven Strait) travels through unknown lands on a quest to rescue his people from extinction.[1] D'Leh, leading an army, uncovers a lost civilization while in pursuit of a warlord who kidnapped his love, Evolet (Camilla Belle). D'Leh and his army encounter saber-toothed cats, mammoths and other prehistoric creatures in the journey to save his tribe.[2]"

I mean any movie that has sabretoothed tigers has gotta be good right?

What's funny to me is all the people upset at how historically inaccurate the movie is. It's just a movie people

Unless it has Ron Perlman boning Rae Dawn Chong I don't want to see it.

It's a movie that pretends to be about the dawn of man. People are going to walk away being very deceived about how society came to be. I'd be happy if they had picked another name for it, instead of emphasizing a particular time period.

You know... hidden behind that picture is a hole I dug in the internet that will get you to a sewage pipe that'll let you escape TWW for good.

The only problem is that you'll have to change your name to Randall Stephens.

Saw the preview for this many months ago on Xbox LIVE...it does in deed look bad ass but I haven't heard or seen anything else about it since then. Thought maybe it got canned.

But the earth is only 6,000 years old!!!

But srsly, looks pretty cool to me. I don't see how anyone could think it's realistic, though.

I don't see anything in the previews that looks like it attempts to pass itself off as historical.

Looks like an entertaining movie, who cares about accuracy. It's not attempting to be nor is it pretending to be accurate.

so, yeah, im definitely taking the side that this movie, almost purely because of the title, is just dumb. i guess a reasonable date would have been less cool. seriously...civilizations with huge structures...thousands of years before civilization stayed in one place or was large enough to build larger structures. its fine to watch it just as a movie but imagine the assholes that just take it at face value and think shit like that actually existed in 10k bc

just saw it today, it sucked pretty bad

but the dreds and CGI mammoths were pretty cool. I thought it was pretty lame that they called snow "white rain." I mean, they live in the Ice Age you'd think they have a word for "snow." also it seemed like the Agal tribe couldn't figure out what race they were

the dialogue & plot were horrible. the scenery was cool, but they gave much of it away in the previews. i thought since they were using magic, and clearly willing to spend money on scenery, that they could have thrown in some special effects for the magic. overall i wasn't that impressed but i did enjoy the movie. its not one i'll watch again any time soon or recommend to anyone, but i did enjoy it at the time.
