Mercury Morris use to be the only reason I wanted the Pats to go undefeated and win the Superbowl. That last has now grown because the Giants are the opponent:

1) To shut Mercury Morris the Fuck Up.
2) Ex-gf went to Ole Miss and was good friends with Eli. Got in to an argument with her about Philip and Eli once. Don't want to give her pleasure of Eli winning Superbowl.
3) Dickhead coworker is huge New Yorker and Giants fan. Same as reason #2.
4) Don't want Eli to win Superbowl before Philip does. Because he's not the better QB and doesn't deserve it.
5) I'm a big fan of really good players who are old and haven't won a Superbowl. So this one's for Junior Seau (sorry Strahan).

These reasons above won't make me cheer for the Patriots, but they will make me feel less sad when they win.
