Release yesterday. Has anybody picked up PoTBS yet? My last thread on this game was started exactly 1 year before the game came out and nothing since. So anyone planning on joining up and trying it out? I think I'm going to go out and pick it up this afternoon.

i was in Beta testing for a long time and the game blew. i really wanted it to be fun but the fighting sucked, controls and physics were terrible and graphics look like they came from more than 5 years ago.

I also really wanted to like this game, but then I saw the Open Sea graphics and was so disappointed I uninstalled it on the spot.

Haha I wish they had a free trial offer to let you play like 24-hours or 5-days or something to test it out. I never got in the beta but I want to try it out some kinda bad. But not for $50 bucks.

I have heard from some people who played the finished version that it was a LOT better than the beta versions were, so I don't know who to believe. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm guessing Warhammer is going to be the only decent MMO this year. I haven't heard much about Age of Conan, but it should be coming out soon.

age of conan could be interesting. warhammer honestly doesnt look good despite the hype and the fact that some of the stuff sounds cool.

I got into every beta starting almost a year ago and never once installed it. I Was so stoked for it but after seeing screenshots i didn't bother installing it.

Beta testing is over and the game is awsome. But 15 bucks a month +retail software price seems a lil steep for a game. Anyone here planning on playing? or is it just way too much money?

Im playing right now in the Morgan server, with the 30 day free trial. I think the game is great; nabbing other people's ships is awsome. The game is a whole lot of fun.

I definitly think its worth a try for any one into these kinds of games, but you have to give it a couple days; its hard to figure at first, (bad tutorial), but once you get a handle on how it all works, (its alot different then WoW), you realize its a pretty substantially experience.

After the first couple hours of playing I almost deleted it, but I gave it a second chance, and now im pretty hooked.

Havn't thought about whether im gonna start payin yet, ill see if I still like it as much in a couple weeks.

Im tellin ya; if your looking for a new version WoW, you lookin in the wrong place. Tottally different game. There is no loot in the tradional sense. No "unique Sword's of Monster raping" or whatever.
Its more about the PVP between ports, getting new ships and upgrading those ships.
Whats cool is, when your faction, (pirate, british, spanish, danish, whatever) wins a battle over a port, you actually gain control of that port. No taxes on the goods you sell there, you can use the trainers there, etc..

Its pretty cool and different I'd say.
