give any halfass hacker 10 minutes alone with that computer and then you can amend your "news release"
security measures = it had a password on bootup!!1
ps - wake and cary ems are different. wake ems has vehicles underneath the jail. cary has vehicles in cary. etc

no
cary ems is part of wake ems (unfortunately)
there is Wake County EMS (which is all the stuff in raleigh)
then there is the Wake County EMS System (which is made up of Wake County EMS, cary EMS, garner EMS, knightdale fire/rescue, etc.)
and ^there are way more elaborate security measures in place. but i don't doubt that they can be cracked.] 1/28/2008 4:15:56 PM |

oh i always thought the units under the jail never interacted with the local communities, but i guess theres only one body truck for the county?
^i was using the most lame security measure that i could think of

wake EMS = the 15 (i think there are 15) stations dispersed around raleigh/surrounding area (like there's one on varsity drive, one downtown, etc.)
they serve mostly raleigh. if you're in raleigh and you call 911, you get a wake EMS truck.
then there are the independent agencies (cary, knightdale, apex, garner, etc.) that serve their respective municipalities. if you call 911 in these areas, you get a cary, knightdale, apex, garner, etc. truck.
sometimes we get called to mutual aid/coverage in other areas, so you might see, for instance, a cary truck near NCSU for station 7 coverage.
we are all part of the Wake EMS System, however, and all under the same medical director/administration/etc. 1/28/2008 4:21:52 PM |
