My wife's 10 yr was supposed to be this past summer but they pretty much canceled it. Since everyone seems to be on FB, something like 90% of the people said they weren't going. So they canceled everything except for a cookout that only a few people who live locally attended and apparently they see each other quite often anyways so it was pretty much a bust.

Debating on going to mine. I hang out my good friends from HS, and with Facebook I don't see the point. However, I have an awesome fiance I could show off, and there's probably people that I haven't seen in a while that would be good to catch up with.

I'm not super rich and don't have a sweet job, so can't do much bragging unfortunately. At least I'm not fat, I guess.

Decisions, decisions.

Mine was 2 weeks ago & had a lot of fun. Even if I wasn't loaded on free booze from the wedding the afternoon immediately before, I'da still enjoyed myself. Page class of 2000 aged well.

i don't think i'm going to go to mine. i don't talk to a single person from HS on a regular basis. i think i'm the only person who still lives in town though.

the class ahead of me had theirs this past weekend. from the fb pics it looked like there was maybe 40ish people there (out of 250ish).

many of which will not be that much younger than I

Mine ended up being alright...it was supposed to be drinks at Natty Greene's on Friday night, bbq lunch at one of the local parks, then a sit-down dinner/dance/whathaveyou later on Saturday, but the dinner got canceled due to lack of interest and I couldn't make it Friday night so it was just the lunch. Good to see some folks that I'd lost touch with, no one had really changed all that much actually, but the outliers might not have bothered to come (we had a turnout of around 40 from a class of 174). Lots of folks with kids, of course, which was a little weird seeing who had and hadn't procreated.

Would have been more fun if alcohol was involved probably but I don't regret going since I didn't have to go far. If I'd had to drive several hours or get on a plane I probably would have been disappointed.

Mine was a couple years ago, didn't bother going. A couple people tried really hard to get everyone together and in the end less than 10 people committed to showing up, so they canceled it. I moved to the town I went to high school in when I was 13, so I didn't really know any of the people I graduated with before then, so I wasn't super close to a bunch of people since I was a little kid. There are a couple people I actually cared about keeping in touch with, and have outside of reunions. Otherwise I can see what they are doing and stuff on Facebook which is more than enough for me most of the time.

went to my 5 year... figured i might as well since i live so close. saw some folks i hadn't seen since graduation so that was nice, though i feel like a lot of my class didn't show up compared to other classes (school puts on reunion for classes in their 5, 10, 15, 20, etc every year. excuse to ask for money)

lots of people from my class went to UNC/NCSU also so i guess people never really stopped seeing each other.

ha one dude in my class showed up in an aston-martin db9 though. entertaining.

Turned out to be pretty decent, got to see Thecycle23 and some other good friends. Caught up with some people I hadn't thought about in a while and was happy to see.

Didn't have a 5 year but went to my 10 year and saw a lot of people and had a great time. Didn't cost much and was at the Country Club with a DJ and Drinks... people got wasted and it was like Prom again...
=)

that being said it was a smaller crowd then I had hoped for but perhaps that made it better...

looking forward to the next one.
