i just realized that my hp notebook has a webcam, but does not come with any software for it. i know it works (i just used it on msn to talk to my desktop), but what if i want to just check myself out? are there any programs that i can install (that will be compatible) to view what my webcam sees (and capture it, if i wanted)?

they have drivers,but the webcam is already installed. i want third party software.

Assuming that the drivers are installed, take the cam for a spin with NetMeeting or most modern Instant Messaging programs.

i guess i didn't really come across very clear in what i was asking for. i'm aware that it works - as i already said, i went on msn and i can talk to other people and they can see me on webcam. that's not what i want - what i want is a program where i can go on my webcam and use it as a regular camera (capture pictures, i think there are some programs for mac webcams that you can play games with it, do crazy filters) or whatever.
