it makes me want to cry

in 09 they have 5 star twin brothers coming in. so its like to replace hansbrough they will have a super athletic hansbrough with a clone as a spare. DOUBLE THE WILL

plus they have a 5 star pg coming and o and another 5 star pf. most of these are probably guys that have nba ready talent. the nba rule has ruined college basketball.

add that to the team they have this year and its completely over.

there will be no hope of anybody except maybe duke beating unc.

mccauley hickson costner and smith will be totally outmatched and our backcourt will still be.

08-09 heels
lawson 4*drew frasor
ellington graves
green ginyard
hansbrough 5*davis thompson
5*zeller stephenson

09-10 heels
lawson drew
5*strickland ellington
green graves
davis 5*wear thompson stephenson
zeller 5*henson 5*wear

THATS 14 DEEP 4 AND 5* GUYS

even if nobody a few of these big men leave early they will still be LOADED inside and its not like lawson is leaving early at his height/shooting so they will have front and backcourt dominance for the next 2 years. thompson and sephenson might as well transfer. they could start at many schools but may get drowned out of any minutes with all the nba talent coming in. (especially davis and zeller)

and its not even over yet? is it? where did unc get all these extra scholarships? last year they had none left and lost only wright (miller was paying) and this year they lose just thomas then just hansbrough and frasor the next year. if they get a sick swingman instead of all these pfs they will never lost.

jesus help us

How many national championships has Roy Williams won with his own players?

(It's weak, I know, but it's our hope)

Green and Ginyard are both Juniors this year, so they'll be gone after next year too.

Green is a junior so he won't be around for the 09-10 season and Lawson will probably be gone too. Don't forget we also have a pair of 5* guards committed for the 1010 class.

they've been recruiting like this forever. Remember when they got Wallace and Stackhouse right after they won the national championship? As long as Roy is there, shit ain't gonna change. Time for Sidney to step up.

Anyone know how many times five 5* recruits inked to one school in the same year? (They will get one more 5* recruit, 3 have high interest but it's basically UNC's choice). This is going to be another media suckfest.

Wasn't the fab five at Michigan all 5* players (they may not have had the star ratings back then though).

Also

Maybe for NC State to compete with Duke/UNC (although we weren't doing any better before that rule came about), but it has not ruined college basketball. See last night's KU-KSU game where Beasley/Bill Walker were awesome. Without that rule, KU would have killed KSU by 30.

Also having watching Eric Gordon destroy the weak ass Big Ten is fun and seeing OJ Mayo slowly develop into a leader at USC is good for his development.

^^ I don't know if the Fab 5 were all (or would have been considered) 5*'s, but they all started, which is unlikely for the 5 coming in 2009.

At the collegiate level, the best players in the nation often sign with the best teams in the nation. More at 11.

Honestly this is not news.

I was sad when Rasheed and Crackhouse went there, then I was sad when Jamison and Carter signed, then I was sad when Felton, McCunts, and Happy Meal May came, then I was sad when Hansdouche, Ellington, and Lawson signed, etc, etc, etc.

It'll never change because UNC will always draw big names thanks to Jordan's legacy, ESPN, and Nike.

"The UNC recruiters got to Jordan early -- they thought he looked like "an average ACC player" -- so as to counter the attentions of, among others, South Carolina, which entertained Jordan at the governor's mansion in Columbia. As it turned out, the Carolina coaches had some convincing to do. "Growing up, I hated North Carolina," Jordan says. "I was a State fan; David Thompson was the man. My mom liked Phil Ford, but I couldn't stand him or any of them Carolina guys."
