Actually, i did mean this game in particular, because this game brought it on but i can recall this being my problem with ncsu since i started paying minimal attention to their sports team in 2000. I watch games, sometimes....and when i do it seems to me that they win and i get excited then after the half we're outta there.

this has some truth to it...they cannot put a full game together

im not asking to win by 20 every game but at the same time we could have a half handful of more losses had we not pulled any of them out...

so the truth to that is, they still have yet to put a full decent game together and pulling it out in the last 10 seconds doesnt count

Ok, I'll put on the conspiracy theory wingnut hat.

NCSU plays a consistent game. The problem stems from this one fact. All refs loathe NCSU. We do so well in the first halves of games because that is when the refs typically leave us alone. They figure... "I'll just sit back and call a fair game for the first half. After all, it is NC State. Chances are they'll be down by 15 at the half."

But when we actually are ahead at the end of the half the ref's plans suddenly backfire, so they spend the remainder of the game over-compensating for their lack of action in the first half.
