i have/had bronchitisssssss and strep throad and a 102 degree fever over the weekend. no flu, but no fun either. and now i can't get my fever below 99. yay being sick for days on end.

That's me!

Started feeling the scratchy throat Sunday, and immediately started taking severe cold medicine. Monday was more medicine and a low grade fever. I sounded like Lurch from the Addams Family ("YOU RANG?")

Today the fever is gone. Probably in the next 24 - 48 hours will be that ever so delightful coughing up of flem.

I've got the flu.

Sunday: itchy throat, hard time falling asleep
Monday: Started feeling weird at work, couldn't stop sneezing.
Monday Night: Took a fever, could hardly stand up, took some Zicam. Halucinated about bats in my room all night long.
Tuesday Morning: Went to the work-in doctor on campus, waited 2 1/2 hours, flu test nose swab thing, prescribed Tamiflu, Robitussin DM, and Tylenol.
Tuesday Night: Mama and Daddy came to get me and bring me home.

The past 2 nights I have been delirious, hot/cold flashes, irritable as can be, blowing my nose like a trumpet, can not get comfortable. I was in the bed yesterday until 5pm when I started sweating and couldn't stand my jersey sheets touching me anymore. Last night when I went to bed, I had the shivers really bad, then woke up sweating again. I have been sweating from everywhere on my body since 11:45 when I woke up today. Fever has gone from 100.2 last night to 99.7 this morning.

did anyone get the nasty bronchitis/upper respiratory infection with this? it knocked out TONS of people in my law school class. i got it and was at my parents house for 4 days with a 102 degree fever. still had a 101 degree fever when i had to return to school. this is my THIRD week. last week i finally got rid of the fever but i was so exhausted and slept for like 15 hours a day. this week i feel pretty much better except i still have the disgusting cough. nowhere near as bad as it was...but its still that gross deep mucusy cough.

i had the ammox too. it didn't help me. i had to go back and get stronger antibiotics. forgot what it was callled.

went to the doctor this morning. flu test came back positive.
he gave me some tamiflu and some kind of narcotic cough elixir stuff that's supposed to let me actually sleep at night.

this fucking sucks.

man this is the WORST i have felt since i was a kid. fever, congestion, sore throat, cough, achy, weak.. and there is all this painful pressure behind my eyes. grrrr. and it somehow started as a migraine on thursday night.

the worst thing to me is not being able to sleep i'm going on 4 nights in a row of very little sleep... blah

I feel like absolute shit... my entire torso aches and makes me want to do nothing but lay down... but I don't have a couch or cable... so theres essentially nothing for me to do about it...

also have a little chest congestion and the remnants of what could be an oncoming sore throat... also a fever that comes and goes... kinda cyclic...

if you think you have the flu and you have prescription insurance, i'd suggest going and getting a prescription for some
