I'm looking for a book to read for my modern american history class. Needs to be about american history after 1875 and be recently written (I think after 1970). Any recommendations?

i had to read "angle of attack" for hi 341. it was ok. it's about the apollo project and focuses on the engineers and designers. is that the kind of thing you're looking for?
