So I bought a 50' long ethernet cable thing and after taxes/shipping etc, it came to a little over $10.00. Had a I bought this at any place around here (Best Buy, Staples, etc) I would have paid probably 10 times that, if not more... so then I was in the shower thinking that I need new razor blades, but those things aren't cheap and I thought, 'gee, I wonder if I could buy them online?' And more importantly, 'after all was said and done (tax/shipping/etc) would it ACTUALLY be cheaper?

So what do YOU guys buy online....and from where?

btw-I bought the cable from newegg.com

Best Buy charges $100+ for 50 feet of ethernet cable?

Your story is full holes.

most everything for a computer is cheaper from newegg. You're just now realizing this?

btw, there's a cool site called, i think, amazon.com. seems like they have a little bit of everything. I'll check it out a little more and report.

well I dunno how much they charge.....but I DO know that Staples has cables online that you can ONLY get online and when I went into the store, they didn't even have 50' length in stock and their 7' one was like $20....

this is not the point. jesus, leave it to you people to bring the negative

It's what I do. I consider thread titles to be like other titles.

It's not called 'War and peace' or 'The treasure of sierra madre'

Bought a Phillips Norelco T980 turbo vacuum beard trimmer and got it a few days later. They retail at any major place for right around $50, but I grabbed one from an ebay seller with shipping for just under 30.

GREAT purchase, online buys rule

I felt like I was getting reamed when I paid something like $15 for a 6-foot USB cable for my printer at staples.
