i had an appointment with a part time DAY TRADER today, i'm going to be doing a little work with him on the side over the next few weeks. he just wants some good one-on-one instruction from a super mastermind like me about how to do things faster on his computer box cause apparantly you have to lots of time watching like 700 windows at once.

also the guy was pretty bad about ignoring you while you talked (if he was staring at the screen). you'd say a couple sentences and he'd look at you and be like, "oh sorry what"

here are the parts i found the most interesting

1) it reminded me a lot like an online poker player with like 6 tables going at once.
2) he pulled down over 400 bucks while we were talking.
3) i have no clue what the hell was going on
4) i asked him if he liked playing poker (see #1) and he was like hell yeah, do you play blah blah.

so i know its not all a gamble, i mean you cant just get lucky and be good at it for months and years on end.... but is it also like gambling in the sense that you need big enough balls to take certain risks?

im kinda considering doing the work for stocks instead of money, just to try it. cause its not a lot of money to lose. just one little side job. and obviously if i were ever gonna play short term investment guy, it would be with this money. ITS A SIGN FROM THE LORD!!

but really, i know i can just ask the guy but i think i know what he's gonna say. and im looking for multiple opinions of how much effort vs how much money. it looked like a really awesome video game as long as its not linked to your primary accounts!!!1

he only had one, i havent seen his desktop. this was all on a laptop, but it was one of those slick laptops with the huge screen and the numpad and all that stuff. ahhaha kinda one of the reasons i was interested. i was coveting thy neighbors laptop ahhaha

youre probably right. im not sure if he said he was one because he only did that, or just because he didnt wanna explain or what. but yeah i guess thats yet another reason it interested me, because i've never seen anyone actually "trading" before, and by the looks on his face and the way he was moving and clicking and watching and all that, he could have been playing poker

and like i said, ive only seen the laptop. so unless he's totally addicted to poker/stocks/everquest, i wouldn't imagine him bringing more than one screen with his laptop. but it was something like a 17" that was like 1900x1200 native or some shit. made my weenie feel so little

but really im wondering about peoples experiences are, not whether or not this guy is legit. its obvious he's no captain crazytrade or he wouldnt be in greensboro asking me for computer help. but it seemed like a fun game he was playing!
