Joe Pug is an amazing lyricist and singer from Chicago (via North Carolina). I saw him play in Chapel Hill last night and it really pains me that I can't go see him tonight at Lincoln Theater, where he'll be opening for American Aquarium.

I really believe Joe Pug will blow up on the music scene within the next few years. I don't say that because he's a friend, I say it because he's an incredible talent. He's also amazingly funny and very humble, so buy him a beer after the show and he can regale you with some great stories about his being possessed by a haunted house's ghost he never believed in and the letter he sent his parents when he dropped out of college and impusively moved to Chicago.
