No I wasnt. I didnt follow any sports heavily until my last couple years at state. I got hooked on big games at CF and have grown to hate UNC fans as someone not growing up with the hatred.

No. Became a fan when I moved here senior year of HS from Knoxville. Could've just as easily become a GT, Maryland, or Penn State fan (all for meteorology).

No. I was a Carolina fan and would have gone there, but then I took a tour of campus, saw that most everyone there were douchebags and decided to come here instead. Worked out just as well, as I'm a statistics major and our stat dept kicks UNC's ass.

Yes. My brother went here before I did, so I became a fan then. Pulled for them when I first moved down here when I was 5, but wasn't too picky then. And also, they had meteorology here.

Duke from the day my grandma bought me a sweatshirt when I was like 5 through the times of taking the DUKE tip program. Once I made that 790 on that PSAT duke tip program thing in the 7th grade and they stopped sending I stopped caring. Hate tarhole fans then and then after being here I hate em even more. Can say I have been a wolfpack fan since 2003 and am more hardcore than most. One day I will see us win? And one day I will hopefully graduate? Both are very questionable.

well to be honest, i have no idea where my great-grandfather went to school or even if he did. i'm at a disadvantage there b/c my dad is alot older than most people's who are my age. for my great-granpa, it would have been in the very late 1800's or very early 1900's.

if it helps, i have 3 generations with a master's thesis in the library, 1927, 1961 and 2006

Was born in Maryland
didn't care about sports until about 1999-2001, when I went to DeMatha, huge sports high school
became a Maryland fan when they went to the Final Four in 2001
moved to NC
stayed a Maryland fan out of spite (lucky for me, they won the 2002 NCAAT and 2004 ACCT)
got into NC State
got really into their storied history and became a fan
found out that DeMatha provided two of the players that would lead NC State to the '83 championship (Derrick Whittenburg and Sidney Lowe) while the state of Maryland would provide the remaining Cardiac Pack member, Thurl Bailey (Bladensburg High School)
...
profit

that's impressive, but as 4th gen engineering, and 3rd gen civil engineering... i'm claiming victory.

Stepdad was a d00k grad and I remember watching them win the NC in 91 and 92 so I pulled for them growing up. Just recently I hung myself from a tree in the back yard to punnish myself for being a duke fan for so long. I cringe every time I think about how I used to pull for them. Its sickening. The rest of my family isnt originally from NC so thats the only team I was exposed to growing up.

But I always liked state for some reason. I remember watching g00gs when I was younger and I always kept up with how they were doing but I wouldnt have considered myself a fan. I have been since I decided I was going here before my senior year.

Fortunately, I grew up hating UNC. I applied an got in to satisfy the moms, and I proudly send them the "fuck you I'm going to state" letter. Great decision. Tough to be a State fan, but I couldn't live with myself if I were a huge faggot in carolina blue.

^^^ honestly, i think the quality of students in general is declining as a result of public hs becoming more and more of a joke.

Carolina fan all my life even though I always kinda like State. But I've always hated Duke with a passion. After basketball season ended my senior year of high school I dropped that shit though. I don't want to be that guy. I can now proudly say that I detest Carolina even though I will always hate Duke more.

Also, Scooter Sherrill went to my high school, so I kind of pulled for them because of that. I'd say they were my second favorite team in high school... a distant 2nd from Carolina but that shit is over now. I swear.
