so i got this rabbit cage right...well its like 18" by 30"....currently i put the woodchips and this other type of bedding down, but i've seen some cages that have a grate thats about an inch higher than the chips so when the rabbits dookies/pees it goes to the chips and the bunny is still an inch or so above the chips...anyone know where to get a grate to fit it would be? i can post pics if that would help 2/24/2008 7:07:25 PM |

get a cooling rack for cookies and put it in there
or a drying rack for dishes
make it out of lots of slats of wood or something use cedar cause it will smell nice and cost $texas 2/24/2008 7:11:39 PM |

ok so i tried to put the top on upside down, but i dont think the rabbit likes it as the gaps are too big...i dont want it to hurt its foot or what not....yall know any wolfwebbers that have like scrap metal or something and could make me a grate that would fit that?

That looks a little like my rabbit.
Actually, on that note, I did the wood chip thing for a while but it was too messy and irritating, so I got rid of a blanket cage cover and just got a rabbit potty thing that goes in the corner with some paper-based litter that goes in there. Rabbits take to using a litter box pretty easily, so now I just have to dump that and take a dust pan to clean up any food whatever on the rest of the cage floor. Way easier.

Go to Lowes/Depot and get some chicken wire and line it on the bottom of the cage, cut to dimension. 2/24/2008 8:38:05 PM |
