I've got a 2 bedroom 2.5 bath townhome with garage in Durham close to RTP.... I'm going back to school at NCSU this fall, and not looking forward to the commute.
Anyone possibly need a place in Durham? Very very close to RTP, 15 min from UNC. If you have a similar home close to NCSU, perhaps we could even swap.
Just putting out feelers... still not sure what I'm going to do yet. 2/25/2008 1:04:00 PM |

well the mortgage is $1k a month, so I would need to at least cover that, maybe a bit extra in case of damage or if I was leaving it furnished.
If I were selling it, I think I'd like to get 165k for it, but I havent had it appraised since I bought it, although the same type of townhomes in the area are selling for that or more.
I could possibly look into the "lease to own" type things... not sure what all that involves tho.
So, it's a 3 story townhome built by Beazer-- floor plan is "Tahoe". http://www.newhomesource.com/homedetail/planid-521360/refer-DMD181/view-floorplan
master bath has 2 sinks, garden tub. I added fans in every room. There's a pot rack over the kitchen island, plus I added track lights. No fireplace though.
It's a great house to have a cat-- there's a cat door that leads from the closet garage to the inside of the house, so its easy to take out litter, and the litter is hidden from sight and smell.
Probly not the best place for a dog tho, because there's no yard to speak of. I never go onto the bottom floor patio because it backs up against a retaining wall that seperates our neighborhood from another.
And yes, I'm thinking of craigslist too I did put a swap add there, tho I'm sure I wont have any luck.
I'm not looking forward to moving, so I'm not terribly motivated to earnestly go about finding a solution.
And before anyone says anything, yes its listed on that site as "starting" at 154k. That's without any options, including the kitchen island, the "upgraded" vanity, the cabinets on the bottom floor, etc...
