I know this isn't a "positive" thread but I was curious about our past ACC seasons of ineptitude.

Well, with a loss to Wake Forest this week we would break our school record for most consecutive ACC losses in a season. In 1966-67, in Norm Sloan's first season, we lost 7 games in conference in a row.

Any other fun facts from this season?

[Edited on March 2, 2008 at 10:32 PM. Reason : ah, in '99-'00 we lost 7 in a row too.. funny thing was that we were ranked #21 before that..]

I wish Brandon Costner can play as good as Sean May.

I know this would be an tough stat to easily find and compare historically, but I'd like to see how many different halves this year were we outscored by 20+ pts. Like in the first half of the game @ UNC, at Duke 2nd half, at Maryland 2nd half, Clemson, UVA, etc.

At some points this season we got our asses pounded so hard, we had announcers laughing at us. We have looked like Texas Tech did against Kansas last night many times this year (at least we did not lose any games by 58 pts though).

not I. I tried and tried to tell people that their expectations were too high, that there was no way they were they 2nd-4th best team in the ACC and all I got was "troll", "not a real fan" etc. Eat dick bitches

Im willing to go on record and say I thought a top 4 finish was a bit of a reach going into the season. But I DID expect us to beat unc/duke at least once of the 4 regular season games. I did expect us to be at worse a NCAA bubble team needing a win in the ACCt to get in. I DID not expect to lose to NO and ECU, I did think we could've beat Michigan ST or at least not get embarrassed. I also thought all of our losses would be close, did not see us getting blowed out so many times.
