$232,553!!
I'm guessing it's a typo, otherwise everyone would be doing it.

I'm sure it increases exponentially.
I'm reminded of a quote from Orange County where Colin Hanks lists three people who got rich being writers and John Lithgow replies, "Three people, in *all* of literature!" 3/4/2008 9:09:24 AM |

I'm not the one who's an English major. I'm Marketing and Film, which probably means the same thing. 3/4/2008 9:21:45 AM |

I would believe it.
That's the problem with using averages.
All you need is a handful of people like Michael Chabon selling books to major publishers before they graduate to throw things off.
I'm willing to bet the median English major income is $, not $$$.

well durh
it's the example that if bill gates walks into the homeless shelter, what's the effect on the mean/median income level
^and theres no way that even if there are a few major outliers, that this avg would be right... even with a few multimillionaires thrown in. the population size is too large.
