Bought this thing at an auction a few years ago and have been using it in my kitchen ever since. Novamatik commercial hand dryer, with the automatic electric eye. Plugs into a regular outlet. These sell for around $100 on ebay, I'd need $40 for it.

There's no reason to save trees. All our paper comes from well managed pine plantations that are completely sustainable.

Hand towels that you have to wash (water + electricity) and dry. I think the dryer is probably the biggest electricity consumer in your house when it is running. Anything that takes 220v is going to draw a ton of current. Oh, and is anybody thinking of the cotton??? All that cotton ripped from it's stalks to make towels!!!.
All of this is just being the devil's advocate. I don't care what you do.3/6/2008 2:19:04 PM |

I think a handtowel beats this, "green wise". You're still running electricity everytime you use this thing.
AND handtowels airdry for the most part. 3/6/2008 3:04:51 PM |

You mean this thing uses electricity? I thought it ran on the finely ground souls of murdered rainforest creatures.
