That is an early 997 GT3, would not come with center locks.

That body work would probably cost almost as much to do to the car that trading it for an actual gt3.

I think it's real... And I love it...

Thread worthless without pics, I know.

This past weekend was my first time running on track with some exotics in my run group, and it was pretty awesome. Specifically a McLaren 650S and a Ferrari 458 Speciale. There were also a Radical and several other open wheel track-only cars running in my group. Although not quite as exotic, there was also a brand new white 991 GT3, beautiful car. You couldn't throw a rock in the paddock without hitting a GT3, probably 20 total GT3's there, mostly 996 but 5 or so 997's and the one 991.

At one point the McLaren gridded behind me as we were waiting for our session to start...no pressure there

My poor old E36 M3 has never felt so outgunned, although I did manage to pass several cars whose owner's probably have 5 times more money in them than I do in mine. 996 GT3, a 997 Carrera S, 981 Cayman S, E90 M3, etc. So I felt pretty good overall heh. This was at Barber Motorsports Park.

They'll be back at Barber Nov 1 and 2nd, I'll probably go back. I got cleared to sign up as an instructor with them from now on, so that should be fun. You should come out! You have a 335 now right?

^^^^very cool man! One time I was gridded behind an R35 GTR and Gallardo Superleggera. Neither of them were a match for my S2000 though, lol. They were obviously novices and I lost them in the rear view mirror after a few laps.

^ Hah, that had to feel good!

This guy was definitely no novice...same guy owned both the Ferrari and the McLaren, and he wheel-to-wheel races an F430 Challenge Stradale. Not a slow driver at all, said he was going slower than usual because he just had 3 point belts and no HANS in the McLaren and 458 Speciale. Really cool down to earth guy though, wanted to hear about my LeMons car and LeMons racing and everything, and was very complimentary of my M3.

Oh, and somewhat exotic, a video of my friend's '95 NSX with LoveFab turbo kit putting about 450hp to the wheels on the front straight last weekend:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT7nn1ZQ0Xs&list=UUIIfjcADLQs5YxXhv8LY4Og

The turbo sounds so awesome when he's going around the track, the video doesn't quite do it justice. You can hear it spooling all the way across the track.

Unacceptable, you go to a track event and we don’t see any pictures of these exotics/semi-exotics yet you post about them, along w/a video. No sir.

While not exotic, this is rare:

Saw an 80s RHD Toyota Soarer Twin Turbo in Wilmington the other weekend. Looked like this, except it had fender mounted mirrors. Funny thing is, that while I didn't know it was a Soarer, I could tell from a pretty far distance that this wasn't some run of the mill 80s Japanese coupe.

Not sure if it qualifies as exotic but is fairly rare - saw an E28 M5 on Creedmoor Sunday.

Not sure how exotic, but likely more rare...
Saw a blue Corvette Z06 Carbon on 540 today. Pretty sweet looking car.

That Soarer sounds like a cool find. Predecessor of the Lexus SC300/400, I think?

The Soarer was my favorite Japanese exotic/rare car when growing up, that was way before the Supra Twin Turbo and its competitors.

I have never seen it in person, wow, that's a cool find.

And yes, the Lexus SC300/400 was sold as the Toyota Soarer in Japan before Lexus made its way to Japan.

Black Ferrari California today on the downtown Expressway in Richmond. Good-looking car but it was being driven in a very douchey fashion.

And today, a red F430 Spider, near my office. This, the California, and another 430 I recently saw in Carytown make it Ferrari month in Richmond. Or something.

I saw a blue c7 coming down 70 in garner. It had white racing stripes. I thought to myself, "Hm.. I've seen a lot of corvettes but that's the first one I've seen with white racing stripes. Kinda looks like a viper from back here..." Then, as it passed, I realized it was indeed the new Dodge Viper.

So...it's as almost as far from exotic as you can get, but I saw one of the rarest of all sights a couple of days ago:

I saw a 240sx that wasn't a riced-out, half-assed, fucked up as a football bat perpetual project!

Well, in fairness, I didn't actually see it run...but it looked very presentable in the parking lot.

I drove the following at my sisters house:

70' mach 1 mustang, red with black stripes, black interior, my favorite by far, this thing had balls and a vicious growl.

71' stingray, orange with camel leather interior, cool car but I was in love with the Mach 1

55' Belair custom, drop top Laguna blue with white, slammed to the ground, modern stereo, total beach cruiser, a really cool car

11' Ferrari 458 Italia, red, fast, enough said

Pics to follow if she lets me post them.

I know some people are going to call B.S. However, I legitimately saw a silver mercedes SLS-AMG at the intersection of Lake boone trail and dixie trail about 3 weeks ago. I live about a quarter mile away and there is no mistaking that car. I was turning left onto lake boone and he was turning right onto dixie so I wasnt able to snap a picture.

Why would people call BS? You saw an SLS, not a Reventon or a Veneno.

^^^Seen two in the Raleigh/Cary area. One white. One was silver. Cool cars. They exist! Been a while since I've seen a Lotus...

Saw Godzilla off Cary Pkwy earlier this week, but nothing super exotic lately.

^^^^Nothing "super" crazy about seeing one of those. Heck, there's a guy in Cary who has an SLS Black Series. Now THAT is a rare bird.

Speaking of rare birds, saw a Cadillac ELR 2 weeks ago. Not an exotic, but those things are selling at a snail's glacial pace.
