LAN=local, like your house
WAN=conjoined locals, like if a direct line connected your LAN and your neighbors LAN
WEB=indirect lines connect points, not networks

IntERnet=web
IntERnet2=web, but whole different ballgame
IntRAnet=WEB built on a LAN. For instance a company directory may be available on the intRAnet, but not the intERnet. Or company telephony is over the IntRAnet.
