Hostel: Roma Inn
One of the best hostels I stayed in in Europe. Clean rooms, internet...but the best part was, they served a nightly dinner that was 3E (breakfast could be added four 2E extra) and it was phenomonal. We had homemade Italian fare, and one night we even had sushi! It's also literally a 5 min walk to Ancient Rome. I loved Rome! Any questions, feel free to PM. 3/8/2008 10:44:21 PM |

Hotel Giugiu. Near Termini train station. Inexpensive, nice, and good location.

They have single rooms and atleast one double room with a private bathroom & shower, the others have a communal bathroom & shower. They were doing reservations before, they may have a new wing open now. 3/8/2008 11:39:17 PM |

Il Cerchio, Right next to vatican city, not near the train station so its not scary at night. Very clean. The owner is friendly too, he comes around and says goodnight to everyone before he goes to bed haha. 3/9/2008 12:55:59 PM |

We stayed at Hotel de Petris in April of 2006, and I highly recommend it. Nice place and not too expensive (at that time), convenient location near Trevi Fountain.

The website venere.com is how we found our hotels in Europe, and it has helpful info and reviews. 3/9/2008 3:11:01 PM |

I stayed at the Hostel Alessandro Downtown. It's only a couple of blocks away from the train station. Free pasta dinners several nights a week. Decent enough place. Nice people. No AC, but I think that's pretty standard in Rome. 3/9/2008 9:54:34 PM |

Hotel Eden.
Or at least eat at La Terrazza on the rooftop. The views are astounding. Great bar too.
St. Regis Grand and the InterContinental are dope too.

I stayed at the Hotel capo d'africa and it was great but it's on the pricey side. Breakfast is included. It's near the Colosseum. Another good area is near Piazza Navona & the Pantheon that's in the center and close to everything.
I wouldn't stay near the train station I think I might have ventured over that way once during my 7 day stay. 3/10/2008 5:31:14 AM |
