Fall 2008 will be my last semester (or so I thought) at NCSU. I'm a Business major, and I checked to see if the courses I had remaining are normally offered in the Fall Semester (which they were).

I checked today and one of the courses isn't listed for Fall 2008 (I talked with an Adviser earlier in the semester to look over the remaining courses in my degree).

Am I just out of luck, do I wait it out to see if they by chance add any additional courses, or go talk to someone and see if anything can be done?

Anyone else had any similar experiences?

It's very unlikely that new courses are going to appear on the Fall 2008 calendar at this point. I would start looking into alternate classes to fulfill you graduation requirements.

Just you you can get more than one brain on this problem, you might want to list the requirement, the class you wanted, and any other pertinent information.

casummer - First summer session is an option. I will do this if required. This is my last resort since I have already lined up an Internship for in Charlotte this Summer and the course I would have to take is not offered as distance education.

just talk to your advisor and either tell her to count something else for it that you have already taken, or ask her what courses you can take in place of it


one of my professors went back to mainland china and they were gonna count ec 202 for it

I would be SHOCKED if they don't offer 480 in the fall. But check with the department anyway.

As long as you talk with your adviser (which may lead you to someone higher like the department head) you should be fine. I graduated a semester early, and even then my minor adviser and the English department head (I think, it was someone like that) worked with me to substitute two classes for the ones I needed that weren't being offered my last semester. You'll probably end up with a horrible schedule (heloooo night classes) but it will be worth it to be done.

Do an open section inquiry for MIE480 (same class as BUS480, sometimes departments cross-list them with another prefix code) you'll see that theres 9 sections of them in all being taught this Fall 2008:
