That is a very cool link. Maybe families took care of their disabled relatives back in those days. Plus I heard beggers make like $300 a week on average. I also heard the beggers outside walmart make more money than most employees inside the store.

While I was in San Francisco a few weeks ago this "homeless" dude in a wheelchair had multiple signs he used to get money:

"Family kidnapped by ninjas, need money for Karate Lessons"

and

"Please contribute to the united negro pizza fund" (he was black)
