none. They either have shitty music, or have borderline music but are completely empty. As completely sad as it sounds, I would suggest the fucking Longbranch. Its shitty, shitty, shitty music, dumb fucks everywhere, expensive as fuck, but at least there are people there.

Is the problem rules and restrictions on dance clubs? I know that getting a club on Hillsborough street is very difficult, due to land prices as well as homeowners not liking it.

^^^^ there is one on hills, but rents are high. Not to mention permits are hard to obtain near campus (from what I hear they go out of there way to block anything that wants a permit especially if there not going to have food) and typically you hear about more serious incidents happening at clubs, plus a lot of clubs don't close at 2.

^^^^^ and ^ no, plenty of other places face the same problems... I really dont get it. People just do go out in Raleigh. For it to have a major university of approx. 30k, a large young professional population, good economy etc. Raleigh (and Hillsborough St) should have a lot of good clubs. People just love to stay at home in Raleigh, never seen anything like it. I noticed it as soon as I moved there.

Hillsborough might be because so many students live in fucking Cary and down Avent Ferry and not really close to campus (close as in walking distance)
