Is there anywhere that lists the classes offered Fall 2009, now?
also in the course listing they have numbers next to the name like
"3(2-3-0) F,S" What does it mean? 3/14/2008 1:00:35 PM |

Be careful with the "F,S" bit in the course catalog because I have found over the last four years that it is often not accurate. To see what classes are typically offered in fall/spring, look at the current course offerings. Even that is no guarantee, but its the best reference available.
Classes for Fall 09 will be available to view mid-February 2009. Registration and records uses a "Production Schedule" for planning the course schedule each semester. http://www.ncsu.edu/registrar/scheduling/productionfall.html This is/was the production schedule for Fall 2008. You can see February 8th 2008 was the last day for instructors or department administrators to submit what courses they will be offering. That means theres no way that Fall 09 courses will be available right now.
There are some departments which use a course rotation schedule which is more or less set in stone. I know the sociology, foreign languages, and statistics departments list a page on their websites which shows what courses are planned over the next several semesters however no times or professors are published (obviously). But, I would regard these planned courses as speculation and wouldn't bank on them. 3/15/2008 7:44:05 AM |
