So good, but that stuff is probably as bad as eating a monster burger combo from Hardees the way most of the local places prepare it.
Fatty dark meat chicken, heavily breaded, fried, syrupy sauce, fried rice, etc. is terrible for you. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pearl combo (C4 I think, lol) has over 1200 calories and 50G of fat. 3/17/2008 3:25:45 PM |

I had some "real" Korean the other day. I didn't like it too much, and I'm one who usually enjoy "exotic" foods.
V lol yeah I love Taco Bell chalupas so I figured I would like the real thing a lot more. Although it wasn't what I was expecting, it was still delicious.

I had some "real" Chinese food one time and didn't care for it. I went out to eat with the families of a couple who were getting married. The groom was American and the Bride was Chinese. All the American people sat at one table and all the Chinese people sat at another. My girlfriend and I ended up at the Chinese people table.
First they brought out these huge trays of Sweet & Sour chicken. I was like "OH BABY THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD." Then all the Chinese people at my table started yelling at the waitress in Chinese. I thought she was going to cry. The waitress turned and put that tray on the table with all the American folks. Then she came back with tray after tray of nasty jellyfishes, octopuses, greasy fish, etc. Half the time I had no idea what I was eating. I am glad I had the experience, but I really didn't care for the food. I'll take my crispy sesame beef from Five Star any day.
I do shop at the Grand Asia Market in Cary fairly often. I picked up some baby octopus, scallops, and shrimp there last friday along with a ton of veggies. I prefer my food prepared the American way though...Put a little olive oil on it and toss it on the grill until it's crispy.3/18/2008 11:34:42 AM |
