he has some good points about Ramsay's other shows. While on vacation over Christmas i watched several of the original Kitchen Nightmares on BBC America, and they were considerably different than Hells Kitchen or the Fox Kitchen Nightmares. Ramsay of course acted like a blowhard asshole a lot of the time, but it did often show a different, caring side, and also one with more constructive criticism instead of just hot-heating berating.

the main problem with Hell's Kitchen is that they spend an entire season trying to show how stupid and talentless these people are and send them off one at a time in humiliating fashions, only to bring everybody back together at the end and then try to convince us (the audience) that these are actually brilliant chef's and deserve to run million $ resorts in Vegas, which none of them that I've seen do.

yeah, i didn't actually notice the girl he let go during service, but it's good to see him overrule the "strategic" and "personal" choices.
Even more so than in previous seasons, though, I think the producers have gotten themselves in a bind by trying to pull together as motley a crew as possible to try to create friction and tension, but have forgotten to get some people who actually know how to cook.... I don't see Ramsey handing over the reigns of a restaurant to any of these clowns

i think the editing was off tonight. Obviously by editing a 4 hour service into 15 minutes they try to create narrative and tension and ups and downs for both teams, but tonight it seemed too choppy. Ramsey was just going from person to person shouting without any real lead-up to anything
