Anyone interested in playing in this? I'm supposed to be reffing some games and it's on April 5th. I don't have much info and the only thing on the UAB website about it is "Badass Soccer Tourney- DO IT." It's supposed to be 6v6 with no keepers on Lee Field. I know I've met some of you that play and I don't think it should be too hard to find 6-7 people to get a TWW team going. Anyone interested?

Just cuz you're out of shape and can't run doesn't mean other people don't like to get outside and kick a ball around for exercise.

I have no idea. I did a Google Search on the NCSU website and the most extensive description on the whole thing was "Badass Soccer Tourney- DO IT" I assume more info will surface in the next week or so if they want it to be even moderately successful.

The email from the head of intramural sports actually gave me more info than the UAB website:

Quote :
"A campus organization has approached me looking for soccer officials
for a tournament they want to run on Saturday, April 5, from
9:30am-4:00pm. Here's the details:

Location: Lee Fields
Game time: 15 minute halves, running clock
Field Length: about 2/3 the length of an IM field
Players per side: 6 v 6 w/no goalkeeper
Game fee: $8/game (this comes up to just a little under $16/hour)"

They wanted 4 refs so I'm assuming they expect some turnout. I don't have anymore info than this.

Cept Ultimate. That shit will even tire out the average soccer player if you're playing it correctly.
