^ front break pads for your car are about 20 bucks. I'll add a 30 dollar labor fee if all you need is the pads replaced. If this interests you, send me a pm and we will discuss it further. 3/25/2008 8:41:16 PM |

^what, do you charge more to change the rotor as well?
In most cases you will want to change the pads and rotors unless you get the rotors turned on a brake lathe.
BTW, I have been changing brakes on here for about 3 years, at about $25 for the front and $25 for the rear. Person pays exact cost for parts. I'm also have ASE certifications, and worked as a mechanic for 3 years. 3/25/2008 8:45:25 PM |

^ In most cases, the rotor comes off easily after removing the caliper, so...if the customer wants me to change the rotors as well, they would have to pay the cost of the rotor only.
Normally, having them turned can be just as expensive as buying new ones. So it would be my recommendation to purchase new ones if needed, and at no additional labor cost, it is a good deal.
If i feel that the job is too much for me to handle, then I would gladly recommend them to you MaximaDrvr. Thanks for your concerns. 3/25/2008 10:02:58 PM |

^^^ why do you change the rotors in most cases? I've seen cars go through 2 and 3 sets of brake pads before they even had to run their rotors on a lathe. 3/25/2008 10:04:08 PM |

I usually don't change them untill the 2nd set of brakes are put on unless there is noticable scoring to the rotor.
and by the way...I charge $30 for the changing of the brakes and rotors plus the cost of parts. I come to you. Good day, that is all. 3/25/2008 10:13:27 PM |

I have all the parts.
It needs the front pads and rear shoes replaced. It also needs a leaky rear brake cylinder replaced.
How is your availability next weekend (or the weekend after)? 4/13/2008 9:09:34 PM |
