Spilled water on my keyboard. Then, like an idiot, I just kept on using it now the Backspace key and the right [ bracket doesn't work.
post your best solutions. am willing to try crazy-assed ones. entertain me. and since i might be entertained, this one won't be in tech talk. (everything there bores me)

fuck that
hmm, lets try to figure out if there is a magic temperature range where water evaporates but plastic does not melt
if we can preheat an oven to this temperature, and place the keyboard inside, then we can remove all the water

psht ive spilled beer on mine and let it air out for a couple days and the malfunctioning keys began working again, it takes days to totally dry (and beer is much worse than water) 3/25/2008 9:45:23 PM |

Evaporation has a cooling effect, so that will make the water last longer. 3/25/2008 10:17:57 PM |

^i'll put my keyboard in the oven to heat it up and evaporate all the water.
I might also use the microwave oven if things get awry. I will post pics. 3/25/2008 10:40:09 PM |
