I can do some quick googling to find out, but i'm going to guess that the people who own cartoon network are somehow connected with the people who own BET.

Also, the second episode was freaking hilarious. Uncle Ruckus's character is pure genius.

One of the BET execs in the episode, Reginald Hudlin, is executive producer of the show. Don't know how they made the show in the first place given that, but I'm sure it was a factor.

Boondocks frequently goes after stuff that's seen as detrimental to the African American community. BET ranks pretty high in that regard.
