The Sauratown Mountains, about two miles north of me, have been burning for about 12 hours.

I'm gonna die.

^I think they're the only mountain range in the country contained entirely within one county. That was on Jeopardy one time.

Wikipedia's wrong on that one. Pilot Mountain was part of the range a billion years ago but it's entirely separate now.

they're not saying sourtown, its the only thing on the news in greensboro.

also, why the hell are they giving this coverage? there was a huge fire in the catalina mountains north of tucson when i went out there, and they hardly mentioned it. and the whole side of the mountain was on fire. and totally charred afterwards. they just said it was maybe 75 acres, and there were maybe 9 homes in danger total.

and they keep acting on the news like they cant get any closer than some shell station, and they keep saying its 8 miles away. why dont they go to your house? are you way off the public road?

They're saying sourtown on WXII.

Well it's only a few minutes from Winston, I don't know why people in Greensboro would give a shit though. Also, I think one of the towers on the ridge is the WXII transmitter, so they obviously have a vested interest

Beats me, there have definitely been live reports from the only road on the top of the mountain. And I'm pretty sure that Shell station is on the wrong side.

I wanted to make a fireworm reference to The 13th Warrior, but I doubt enough people would get it.
