MetalsDepot.com "America's Source for Maintenance & Industrial Metal"
I have the catalog in front of me. It is where NCSU TED gets all of their stuff from.

steel is exspensive in general now. i've seen a few places outside of raleigh cheaper than dillon, but it's not really any difference by the time you consider delivery or going to get it.
metals depot is nice if you just need a small quantity of something, but becomes insane when you're comparing full sticks or sheets of stuff. 3/28/2008 9:52:47 PM |

dillon is hard to beat, especially with gas/diesel prices now 3/29/2008 2:54:51 PM |

unless youre doing something custom, materials have gotten to the point where its not much if any more to buy prebuilt. especially used. 3/30/2008 8:00:29 PM |

what type of trailer are you looking for?? I have a single axle cheapo one from tractor supply that'd be perfect for hauling a motorcycle or lawnmowers, etc.
Let me know if interested. 3/30/2008 8:09:14 PM |

i'm assuming you're looking for a car hauler? keep an eye on craigslist, nc4x4, etc... you can find basic 14-16ft. models with a nice deck, brakes on at least one axle, good tires, etc. for $1000-1500 somewhat frequently.
be careful getting into one that "needs work" for cheap though, just like building one parts to repair one add up quick. 3/30/2008 9:22:11 PM |
