I live there, as well as quite a few other TWW'ers. No complaints from me . . . maintenance fixes things fast, management seems nice, normally adequate parking. There is a mixture of students and working people, but it's generally pretty quiet with no big parties . . . so if you are looking for the typical college apartments, go somewhere else.

I don't really care for living in the woods of Lake Johnson, I prefer Centennial woods better.

when we first moved in we had water bugs on occasion (look like huge roaches if you've never seen one) that scared the shit out of my gf. They had the exterminator come and have only seen a hand full in the 2 years since.

There were some car break ins around the time we first moved in and the wake county data shows a car being stolen relatively recently . . . but we've never had a problem.

The maintenance staff is pretty good . . . if you call in something in the morning it is normally fixed that day. Our AC went out last summer and was fixed the next morning (it was in the evening when we called them).

that was my buddy's place that burned down. Sucks

and my other buddy lives off lady slipper and they actually do get a bit rowdy and loud at times. We had our annual easter party there last weekend and it was pretty nuts. Other than that, it is pretty quiet and it's a cool location. The pool is especially nice. Our whole group of friends can be found there just about every weekend

Lived there the last two years in a three bedroom and now a two bedroom and I have no complaints - other then the gypsy plumbers that were there for a while but you won't have to worry about that. The staff is awesome, pool area and courts are nice, and the apartments are nice. And the maintance has always been very fast. Most of the time things are taken care of that day.

It's pretty nice, except for the rapists and all.

I lived there about 3 years ago... I loved the management... They also have a junior olympic sized pool and a hot tub... I wouldn't go in the hot tub.. some wild shit goes on in there...

I did live right beside the guy that killed that dude from up north at one of our tailgating functions like 3 and a half years ago... I actually talked to the guy and he seemed nice

That was at mews, NOT wildwoods, right?

Does anyone live on the 2nd or first floor? How is the noise above you? I have a huge pet peeve about hearing people walk above me. Now parties or hard stomping is fine if its muffled, but paper thin ceilings where I hear every other step is bad. Any insight on this?

One more thing. I'm getting a motorcycle soon and have heard about break ins and car thefts. Should I be worried about my bike being trashed or stolen more than most places?
Thanks for all the help so far!

My friend used to live there. The screened in porches are really nice. The woods and access to trails are right out your back door. Do be aware of the traffic on Jones Franklin, and it's about to get a LOT worse since they're building a ton of stuff there now. Overall a nice place to live.

Lived there my last year in school - was 3rd floor, so can't directly attest to the noise from above, but we knew our downstairs neighbors and they said they could never hear us even when we had 25+ people in the apartment and we'd have people doing ollies and wrestling inside the apartment.

I'd say if you're looking for safety for your motorcycle that Wildwoods would be about the safest you're going to find unless you're willing to pay for a place with an indoor garage space.

About the only time I hear my upstairs neighbors is when they're playing fucking DDR.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm not too worried about the noise, but being on the 2nd floor has all the disadvantages and none of the advantages of floor choice. If anyone else has anything to add, good or bad, please let me know! Especially if its bad.
