i got it today, its alright so far. the "new" battle system is definitely better than FFXII's active system. i heard there's going to be loads of sidequests, but i'm not very far, just about to start the first "mission".

yeah, the actual game is short, you can prolly beat it in 13 hours. but the missions are where you get the really good stuff, and theres hundreds of them

A short FF game? I might actually finish it then. The gameplay in FF was just too repetitive to keep me for long enough to finish most of them and the storylines were never interesting enough. FFXII's been the only exception so far.

this game kind of sucked. The battle system is really weak and it's insanely easy (except for the final boss). The only good parts are the soundtrack and the ending, which lays on the melodrama and cheese pretty hard.

the main game was ridiculously easy - try the missions

i was able to beat minerva (the boss in the last mission which was pretty difficult) and beat the last boss in story mode in 3 hits

the story is pretty bad in some places - i especially hated genesis as a character
