* Location: Durham\Raleigh\Rocky Mount * Means of Contact: email CLyons0203@yahoo.com
* Vehicle 1992/Acura/Legend L * Miles:262k * Price:$2600 * Clear title
- Engine: 3.2 V6 200hp - Interior: Taupe - Exterior: Champange (Heather mist) - Stereo & Nav: STD BOSE (not Premium BOSE)
The Good: 6 disk CD changer. Head gaskets replaced less than 10 k miles ago along with timing belt (and all other belts), water pump, all new gaskets, etc… ALL GENUINE ACURA PARTS. Heads were professionally milled and pressure tested for cracks. After the head gasket job I had the fuel injectors cleaned and it ran great,no leaks. $2,000 on parts and labor on the heads for the head gasket replacement. 2 brand new tires on front (less than 1 k miles on them), rear tires the tread is still excellent
The Bad: Recently replaced the air compressor but AC doesnt work due to leak in hard line. Car has tear in driver seat, and rear driver side window doesnt go down, other than that she is great. ABS light is on, but car stops on a dime.
I intended to keep this car until it fell apart, but I have 4 cars and two have to go. I hate to see it go but I need the space. Was completely reliable before the head gaskets blew. Serious inquiries only Kbb value is $2,835 in “fair” condition.

hmmm let's see here. blown head gaskets and a suspect looking radiator hose.

That's a lot more than most of the people in TWW Garage would do for a car that they were going to end up selling. I mean, damn...Do you want him to put in a brand new crate motor so he can sell it to you for $2600?

The car has never overheated with me. Headgasket are a known problem on Legends. Most people just swap in another motor, but those come with bad headgaskets too. Acura changed the gasket to a multi-layer type when the name changed from Legend to RL.
That radiator is a brand new from Napa. Internet trolls make me laugh 4/10/2008 3:20:14 PM |

lol
they arent internet trolls. when you advertise Quote : | "Head gaskets replaced less than 10 k miles ago along with timing belt (and all other belts), water pump, all new gaskets, etc… ALL GENUINE ACURA PARTS." | . THAT IS NOT A GENUINE ACURA PART.
they arent trolling, they just dont want you giving out false information.
so not only is it not just a hose, its the whole radiator that isnt acura. i mean, who cares. but dont post up that all parts are acura.4/10/2008 10:55:55 PM |

^ I think what he meant to say was that the gaskets, belts and water pump are straight from factory. Radiator wasn't mentioned so it is false advertise but not meant. 4/11/2008 1:03:21 AM |

Per KBB with 262k and leather (assuming it has leather.)
And you have to realize that there are plenty of poor saps out there who buy late 80's/early 90's Bimmers, Mercedes, etc with a quarter million miles on them even though they'll never be able to afford the maintenance on the thing. You see that shit all the time...They usually have some rims. He'll have no problem getting $2300+ for this car on Craigslist.

the "pay me that 10 times and u good" was a flamed response to a low baller and shouldn't really taken seriously. He doesn't ask an obo in the OP, but states a guide for the value. Even with the quirks, he'd fetch 2k on craigslist and have it gone in a few days. 4/11/2008 11:58:32 AM |
