My ladyfriend wants to listen to some live music this weekend. What concerts, shows, etc. are going on on Friday/Saturday?

Friday I'd go to Duke and see Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, and then Saturday I'd go see Loners early and then hit up Proof at Slim's (sarijoul will recommend Megafaun, I'm sure). If you've seen one Loners show you've basically seen them all, but it's at Sadlack's, so it's free, and it's at 7 PM so you won't miss anything else.

just saw that on thursday tenderfruit will be playing at the knc local band/beer night at tir na nog. tenderfruit apparently is a new project of christy smith of nola.

^^srsly? did not know that, might head over there after the office tonight.

besides megafaun on saturday, i'd recommend holy ghost tent revival at berkeley cafe on sunday. caleb caudle & the bayonets are at the cave saturday night too, but i haven't seen them live yet so i can't vouch for them like i can for the other two. check out the indy's hearing aid and eight days a week for more ideas
