no asian hair is usually stiffer. if you aren't asian you probably don't know the fact that when cutting it short, it stands up like a brush

haha, so true

i would like to have it cut shorter, but then it stands up, which just looks silly.

black people hair shafts are flatter and very oval in shape (in cross section). asian hair shafts are less flatter and rounder than black people hair. white people hair shafts are almost perfect circles.

^^they won't know what to do. i saw this once in my barber shop. black guy came in, barber said, "i'll try to cut it, but i'm not making any guarantees. i've never cut black folks hair and have no idea how to do it." black guy walked out.
