Patterson is actually having a decent year so far Ernie...only batting .240 but has hit 4 homers and swiped a couple bags...I think he's trying to impress another team into trading for him

I'm one of the biggest Corey Patterson fans there is (stupid, but I have my reasons)...

and with his OBP, he shouldn't be leading off.

Yeah, I've got nothing against Patterson. He's a pretty good outfielder and a decent 7 or 8 hitter, but a terrible choice to lead off. I guess Dusty doesn't want someone up there who's gonna "clog the bases."
