his notes on the project are so detailed, there is no way that someone help make you understand it any further without helping you write the code. 4/16/2008 6:00:29 PM |

when doing this final proj though, it required a lot of thought, and the easiest way to accomplish each part of the proj was just to physically write out the math that you wanted to have happen, from there, the code came pretty naturally. plus the feeling you get when you finish...its amazing. 4/16/2008 11:05:10 PM |

the funny thing about the FINAL proj...it counts for 10% of our grade. while labs 2-9 count for 80% of our grade..means each lab was 10% also, and ive heard rumors about droping the lowest lab, so that would make our final LESS than the other labs, kinda ridiculous if you ask me for the amount of time weve put in it. 4/17/2008 12:30:44 AM |

is it still the project where you have to tell it to multiply matrices together and time itself, if so, it's not so bad formatting the code once you figure out the math. I think my book was a good resource for a random number generator if you still need that.
^^^ also, if you go to the labs you can't really dig yourself into a hole in this class, it's not something you can save at the end of the semester. I got a hundred on the final project and my A- stayed an A- 4/17/2008 2:06:26 AM |

nah the final project this yr is dealing with the RSA. TA will use a program where they pretty much pick 3 values (p,q,e) and then an 8 character password...with that info it gets encrypted, our project is to take the output n and e from the TA's program, and then the 8 encrypted characters and decrypt it, harder than it seems unless you know the process. 4/17/2008 9:12:16 AM |

I used to be a TA although I'm graduated now. If you need help with this stuff, I know a few TA's that will really be willing to help you understand whatever you need to know. And yes they speak clear English. Send me a PM.
btw, they aren't dropping the lowest lab grades anymore. 4/17/2008 9:40:53 AM |
