i never said that. Im just pointing out that her lack of travel to countries.... say Italy or even cities like New York, she would know that worlds best tasting cheeses would never ever be refrigerated. Her comment lacked a core knowledge of the history and aspects of good cheese.

I'd rather have homemade jerky (cow or deer), and a block of cheese to slice.
Why anyone wastes money on prepackaged shit is beyond me. The mark up is nuts.
Don't tell me that dryers are to costly, because you can get one for like 30 dollars at target/walmart. 4/19/2008 9:40:06 PM |

deer jerky is awesome
... but its hard to come buy since I dont have any hunting equipment or licenses. And the fact that I couldnt kill something without it being a necessity.

agreed. I like wasting money. 55 cents for a stick of cheese, and $1.19 for the beef stick.4/19/2008 9:47:35 PM |

i dont think ive ever heard of someone using a red wine base for marinating before. and just so you know, you never bother using good wine when cooking, ever. even the best chefs use cheap table or 6$ bottle wine. there is no difference in flavor unless you are somehow making the wine int a soup.

Haha... are you serious? I've traveled pretty extensively in Europe as well as lived in three vastly different areas in the US... and fuck if I care about the history and aspects of good cheese.
I prefer to have it regfrigerated. So what? I also like red wine to be chilled a bit... even though I know that it's not supposed to be. Oh well...4/23/2008 2:27:05 PM |
