Ok I'm flying to seattle and need to get there earlier August 2nd in the morning and leave around 12 noon on August 10th. It's really hard to find these flights. Anyone have some recommendation on who to fly etc. I had a really bad experience flying airtrain and refuse to fly them.

Colter,
I lived with Noen and so I've been talking to him about this. He told me delta which is what I'm leaning towards.

i was looking at tickets on cheapoair.com or something the other day for flights to sea/tac on like 5-11 to the 15th. terrible flight times and layovers but could have gotten there for 275 round trip. you should be able to do pretty good seeing how its not such short notice, depending on what times you can live with.

oh and those were random, probably low class no frills flights but its sounds like you might have more of a budget

I flew airtran out there last month. It was by far the cheapest and I had zero issues with them. I usually only fly AirTran and other than delays or issues related to weather, I have never had a problem, so if I were you, I would give them another chance.

i used to be scared of flying till i realized that there are like 30000 times more car deaths than commercial airplane deaths

i dont really care about dying, i just dont want to burn

well if you sit in the back instead of the front you are 40% more likely to survive.

but seriously, I'll pass on Airtran. I'll even do them short distance. But cross-country, no thanks.

What happened that makes them "Oh my god so horrible I will never fly them again" bad?

USAir has a direct flight from Charlotte - drive to Charlotte and then go non stop. I've flown that a half dozen times now - easy.

^^srsly. i've said that at one point or another about almost all of the major airlines, but the big talk stops when it's the only airline with a decent schedule and/or the price is 1/5 the other airlines.

^ thats how we go. Fly from Charlotte, non-stop if you time it right (used to be seasonal). 4 hours in the air, land like 15 minutes after you took off (account for time change).

I've also flown from RAL->ATL->SEA. The layover sucks, but if you're returning toward the end of a week or weekend you're almost guaranteed to get free tickets to take a later flight, and Atlanta is a great place to kill a night. Our family of 4 banked 8 free tickets, first class bump on the way home, and a free hotel stay. What you really want is to layover for 6-8 hours and get a free bump to first class on the ATL->SEA leg, cause those 180' seats are the junk.

that totally depends on the person. i always respect peoples decisions not to use a certain service again. i know that some of my reasons are fucking silly, but when i think back on how mad i was at the time, and how unwilling they were to help me.

like pepcid complete. i complained about something with the product (anyone who knows me knows that i spend about 75 bucks a month on this stuff).... and instead of responding to my question, they sent me a coupon

i was PISSED, like "dont you guys get it, i dont want to SPEND money with you again until i get a RESPONSE"

then they sent me another coupon for totally free stuff. at which point i gave the coupon away and switched brands.

i didnt want anything free, i wanted an answer

most people would think that's stupid, but customer service etc is important to me. so im down with people who take their business elsewhere

^^ Well then you probably aren't going to find anything cheaper. SEA is one of the most expensive airports in the country.
