in all seriousness, the basketball team that they make will be ranked pretty darn high.

are they going to do football? i read about this a while back and remembered they werent doing a full sports section at the start.

they will have dirty basketball and baseball programs once they get going.

the juco baseball teams in NC are pretty tough... right now Lenoir CC is #1 in D2 Juco ball and Louisburg is always tough to be in D1 Juco. Surry and Pitt are tough most years (Pitt is very strong this year). Wake Tech will keep some of the local talent plus take some from other parts of the state.

yeah, when i was at ECU, pitt was very strong in baseball. its good that they are still staying strong in baseball.

dont know about D2 JUCO basketball, but there is definitely D2 Juco baseball. I went to Lenoir CC and the years before I arrived, they were D1. They dropped down to D2 because of money issues but still played in Region X along with Surry, Louisburg, Pitt, Blue Ridge, etc... Only difference was that to win the Region X D2 Championship, we only had to beat Southeastern CC at the time. LCC's basketball teams were still considered D1. I believe there are more baseball teams D2 now from Region X, but not 100% sure.

Other states (Louisiana comes to mind) have large D2 JUCO baseball leagues.

They'll open up the year at NC State. The Techsters will make a game of it only to have NC State catch fire during the last 5 minutes of the game to come away with a thrilling 29-25 win at the RBC Center.
