$2500 gets it and a smile.

The Lowdown:

Red 2001 Suzuki SV650
~7500 miles
Excellent condition

- New Pirelli Diablo tires (~200 miles)
- Vance&Hines S4 full exhaust with modded muffler (case has been shortened and in a "chambered" setup, no packing. I have another 7" long case and ends to assembly another complete muffler.)
- Hand made fender eliminator with mini turn signals and LED tag lights. Painted gloss black. Appearance is good, I didnt cut any corners. Underseat compartment retained (about 90% original space)
- bar end mirrors
- shortened levers (read: cut factory)
- shortened stalk on rear brake lever (read: cut factory)

see my gallery for some pics, i can get some more to host on my flikr when the weather clears

I'm located In Iredell county
PM me for pictures and questions

for the non motorcycle/ garage regular:

SV650 is a GREAT BEGINNER BIKE
~70 hp
~110mph top speed
- handles well in the twisties, very fun to ride

^^^^ whaaaaat? an SV tops out at 110? i figured it would do at least 130 (indicated, anyway).

yeah it might be a little faster- i think the advertised indicated is like 126, iirc... and judging from the roadside radars the speedo is about 7-8 off at 55mph.

i'd rock an SV any day, but i do not want to invest into any vehicles at this time since i might be going out of the country for a year or two

that's me, too (except i'm definitely going out of the country for 6 months, and probably alternating every 6 months for the foreseeable future)

I LOVE my SV! Good Luck finding a buyer... I'm sure you could sell it off Craigslist pretty easy right now. Perfect weather

from raleigh? I'd consider that a pretty short ride, I commuted last summer 36 miles one way and had no issues, but I am 5'6"/140#. honestly, i'd say comfort is in the eye of the beholder...I've heard of some who are fine on a race replica for a hundred miles at a time - I'd say it's completely dependent on a person's size/weight, their previous experience with riding, etc.

summary: IMHO, <50 miles one way, piece of cake.

I'm really interested... I've wanted a bike since I graduated, but I don't know. The way I drove my M3 probably isn't a good indication of how I would drive a bike -- not to mention, I'm not exactly the smallest person on earth, but I'll think about it...

Put it on Craigslist - you'll have much better luck there. I sold my 2000 SV on there just last week. I listed it for $3,000 and got at least 12 emails and several phone calls within a few days. Seriously, those bikes have a great reputation for fun and reliability, and people are willing to pay more than blue book value if the bike is in good condition.
